Winhusen, Fred

October 4, 1946 - November 30, 2018

Beloved husband of Louise (Thibodeau) for 30 years. Son of the late Frederick and Julia (Kolaczkowski) and brother of the late Carol Winhusen, all of Ohio. Brother-in-law to Dianne Fry and Marie Thibodeau and uncle to Dianne's six children,Patricia, Kathleen, Gregory, Timothy, Kevin and Colleen, and grand uncle to her nine grandchildren and five great grandchildren, all of Michigan. He will be missed by his many cousins, especially Robert Winhusen and Edmund Kolaczkowski.

Fred graduated from University of Dayton with a degree in Chemical Engineering and did post graduate studies at Ohio State. He left Dayton Ohio to take on a job with U.S. Customs in New York in 1971 as an Import Specialist. He remained with Customs until 2008 when he retired.

Until his marriage, Fred was an active member of the Catholic Alumni Club and served one year as president. He worked on community service and on the sports committee, where he led many hikes. Fred was also a member of the Polish National Alliance of the U.S. of N.A. for many years.
